The SSD7505C is slated for release in early 2022, and will be our first NVMe controller to benefit from our next-gen PCB & RAID Architecture.
The SSD7505C is an updated version of our SSD7505 4x M.2 PCIe 4.0 x16 RAID Controller.
The SSD7505 & SSD7505C are the fastest 4-port M.2 RAID controllers in today’s marketplace. Both can deliver 25,000MB/s+ from just four M.2 SSD’s, and over 35,000MB/s when deployed in dual-card Cross-Sync configurations.
The SSD7505C boasts several new features that are slated to become standardized, beginning in 2022.
Enterprise Class Reliability – Power Loss Protection
Though PLP is already a feature of Samsung’s DC class NVMe SSD’s, the SSD7505C is the first of our controllers to integrate this technology directly into its hardware architecture. The new PCB design incorporates a bank of capacitors that are used to flush data stored in NVMe cache to the flash memory in the event of a sudden loss of power. This helps prevent the loss of in-transit data during a power outage of PSU failure.
Tool-less M.2 Installation
Unlike our existing M.2 controllers, which utilize conventional mounting screws to fasten each NVMe to the PCB, the SSD7505C features screwless, quick-release latches for each M.2 slot and the controller’s cooling system.
This new latch system eliminates the need for hand tools when installing or replacing M.2 media, and can drastically reduce the time required to prep or service a controller.
While it seems like a simple thing, it can be a godsend for do it yourselfers and Solution Providers that offer on-site support services.
